Sci-Fi/Fantasy Literature Thread

Post by ZetaRaiden »

Figured I'd finally contribute to the forum and make a thread to discuss some of my favourite genres in fiction: fantasy and science fiction!

From Tolkien to George R.R. Martin, from Frank Herbert to Philip K. Dick, feel free to discuss sci-fi/fantasy literature here. This can also include mythological texts like Homer's The Odyssey, or even science-fantasy, like Warhammer 40,000.

Lately I've been making my way through Tolkien's works. I finished reading The Hobbit a while back and enjoyed it a ton, and am currently (very slowly) working my way through The Lord of the Rings. It's quite a jump from The Hobbit which was a much lighter read. I've also been reading A Game of Thrones as I tend to jump between books instead of just sticking to one, which maybe isn't a great habit to have.

Discuss!!!
